Standard

IEC 60502: Power cables with extruded insulation and their accessories for rated voltages from 1kV (Um=1.2kV) up to 30 kV (Um=36kV).

 

Conductor
Plain circular, compacted or shaped stranded copper or aluminum conductor, conform to IEC 60228 class 2.

 

Insulation

XLPE (cross-linked polyehtylene) rated at 90ºC.

 

Colors for core idendification

Single core - black or upon request

Two core - red, black

Three core - red, yellow, blue and black

Four core - red, yellow, blue, black and green/yellow

Five core - red, yellow, blue, black and green/yellow

 

Sheath

PVC type ST2 to IEC 60502, color black.

 

Application

Power Cables (Armored/Unarmored, PVC/XLPE ) are widely used in power systems of rated voltage 1000V and below such as urban
communities, office buildings, supermarkets, etc. Unarmored cables are designated for general use including burial, where they are not
likely to suffer mechniacal damage.
